Les Miserables

The blockbuster award winning London show, Les Miserables popularly known as Les Mis is wowing theatre lovers from all across the globe. The longest running musical of the world has become one of the favourite London shows and successfully set the box office register ringing. In the year 1985, the show opened with a lukewarm response.

Later, theatre lovers fell in love with the show and Les Miserables was transferred from the Barbican to the Palace Theatre. The show finally settled at the Queen’s Theatre and still ruling the hearts of millions of theatre lovers. The blockbuster London show is adapted from the famous epic French novel by Victor Hugo.

Les Miserables is set against the backdrop of French Revolution and deals with the struggle and plight of convict Jean Valjean, while he was struggling to escape the law and correct his wrongs. Alain Boublil’s heart touching score, whereas lyrics penned by Claude Michel Schonberg features some classical musical numbers such as ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’ and ‘Bring Him Home’.

The blockbuster London show Les Miserables is quite fresh and exhilarating featuring sterling performances from the star cast such as Sierra Boggess, Danielle Hope, Alfie Boe and Ramin Karimloo. The heart touching and gripping saga with soul lifting songs and spectacular productions make the show one of the most lovable and popular amongst all.

The 3 hours long show is recommended for 7+kids and running with packed houses at the Queen’s Theatre. Les Mis is the winner of several prestigious awards and acclamations such as 1985, 2012 and 2014 Laurence Olivier awards as well as 1987 Tony awards in various categories which includes Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical (Michael Maguire), Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical (Frances Ruffelle), Best Direction of a Musical, Best Scenic Design.
